Watoto Wenye Nguvu International Orphan Care (W.W.N I.O.C) is a non-governmental organization founded in the year 2004 in Kenya and registered in 2025 by Madam Elizabeth Muthoni Gitau with intention of supporting orphans and vulnerable Women,children and communities in Kiambu, Muranga and some parts of Machakos and Nairobi counties. For the last 20 years Watoto Wenye Nguvu has been committed in empowering vulnerable women, children, and communities through the following interventions; Kusitawi Village rehabilitation center, Education, Health, Hygiene, Nutrition, Women mental and physical wellness, Economic empowerment, Psycho social support, Shelter & care, House rehabilitation, Income generating projects, Community led empowerment programs. We work through partnerships and collaborations with National and county Government agencies, donors, family foundations, individual and corporate volunteers, and the community. Leadership and Governance Watoto Wenye Nguvu is governed by a board of trustees supported by management team led by Elizabeth Muthoni Gitau (HSC) as the Executive Director. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IMAGE. (Put the picture of director) Elizabeth Muthoni Gitau, HSC, is a seasoned educator and leader with over 30 years of experience in management and community development. Recognized with a national award of Head of State Commendation for her outstanding service, she founded Watoto Wenye Nguvu International Orphan Care, transforming communities through innovative programs. She established Kusitawi Village, a rescue centre for abused women, children, most who have mental health challenges, and Magogoni Community Secondary School, providing education to vulnerable children. Elizabeth started a school feeding program supporting ten schools and forged sustainable funding partnerships. Her leadership empowers communities to identify needs, propose solutions, and drive self-development, with her organization offering advisory and financial support.
