Some household items like solar lamps are vital and welcome necessity to many households. Most of our children come from areas where they are off the grid or connection to the grid is not affordable. During our need based approach in these households we find out lighting is a need. Most of them use kerosene which makes their environment smelly and smoky. The children also complain of eyes irritability, less light and breathing related complications. To be part of the solution we have over the years embarked on a gradual support of giving out solar lamps to the neediest households. So far over 50 homesteads have benefited translating to an average of over 200 children beneficiaries. The need is still there and you can be part of it by donating towards this intervention. Many are the children that are now able to do their homework & studies in a well illuminated environment. The solar lamps are safe, clean, easy to connect and sustainable. This is an intervention that has had a trans-formative contribution to our children safety, education and health.
