We encourage the community to embrace food hygiene and food preparation methods so as not to lose nutritive value. Mothers, who are well trained through demonstrations on these methods, tend to give their children the best required nutritive foods to their children. This helps in addressing deficiency related diseases that affect children in their 1000 days after conception. Households are also demonstrated the importance of kitchen gardens which have proven to be a steady supplier of leafy vegetables for their households. In addition positive parenting practices like taking children for recommended vaccinations and clinics are also emphasized to ensure children grow healthy and are well attended to.
