The launch of Ngoliba ward comprehensive  Community-Based Organization (CBO) and signing of memorandum of understanding with the community  in Thika East was a landmark event. Hon. Gitu Wa Kaahengeri former Juja MP and Thika East DCC, highlighted the importance of shifting power to the people, especially women and youth. The CBO aims to empower the community through education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, PWDS inclusivity, parenting, psychosocial and social welfare with decisions driven by local needs without leaving no one behind.

The director emphasized, “An empowered community is one that can solve its own problems, without waiting for external help. This is the first step toward sustainable change.” The event marked a new era where the community leads its growth, tackling its challenges with unity and strength.
